Adamson Town Planning is a boutique planning practice based in Noosa, delivering specialist statutory planning services across the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and broader Queensland. Established in 2013, we bring more than 20 years of local government experience and over 15 years in consultancy to every project we manage.

Led by qualified town planner and engineer Shane Adamson, our practice focuses on development applications across commercial, mixed use, industrial, residential and infrastructure projects. We also provide planning appeal representation, expert witness services and appearance in the Planning and Environment Court — bringing deep statutory knowledge and litigation experience to complex and contested matters.

Our Projects & Clients

Government, Development & More

At Adamson Town Planning on the Sunshine Coast, we provide town planning services for local and state government, developers, community groups, submitters to development applications on the Sunshine Coast and elsewhere.

Government

We assist local government by providing expert opinion for court matters and peer review of development applications and consultancy contracts. The consultancy contracts primarily provide higher order town planning advice, including peer review, management, policy formation and review.

Development

We work with developers regarding the preparation, lodgement and management of development applications that have planning merit and provide community benefit. We will provide strong and powerful planning arguments for your development and ensure that reasonable and relevant conditions and infrastructure charges are imposed.

Community

We also assist not-for-profit organisations such as schools and community groups, which include preparing requests for a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation under State guidelines. The process provides certainty about the provision of community infrastructure in the long term, generally in accordance with a master plan, and has a number of benefits that can be explained.
